Established in 2007, Loft specialises in building innovative, inventive solutions and leveraging solid design process to deliver quality outcomes. Our primary focus is about improving communities by improving communications, connectivity and visibility of information. In doing so, we support research methodologies, professional engagement and human connections to strengthen the context within which these communities operate.

Our process builds a firm understanding of both requirement and expectation, using our expertise to enhance and improve within our target industries and improve and support client domain knowledge and activity. We use a proven technology stack that ensures Loft will be the first mover within any sector, driving the application product road map to achieve rapid development and deployment, global scale and the ability for modular diversification across broader mainstream market opportunities.

The company has undertaken significant R&D investment in the development of Corporate Learning, Education and Healthcare Technology ($1M) providing diverse market based applications & enterprise platforms. Loft is committed to this investment strategy, utilising software as a Service, API economy models combined with technology consulting, IBM Cloud Services, Software Maintenance and Helpdesk support, which we believe will pay dividends for the company.

As part of our global strategy, Loft has a strong business partnership with IBM and as recognition for our innovative work in the Education and Healthcare sectors, the company has been accepted into the IBM Watson Ecosystem. Combined with our technology partner, IBM, we leverage the full infrastructure of an enterprise technology stack. Ensuring that our products are able to scale with confidence and flexibility.

The Loft Group is seeking capital to expedite existing commercial opportunities for revenue growth within Australia and International markets, utilising existing profitable products and services. As the company’s reputation continues to grow across the Mobile Cloud Application technology sector, so too is the opportunity for investors to benefit in this ground floor global business opportunity .

Mark is a Director of MBFS Pty Ltd an Australian Financial Services Licensee 420378. He has been in the financial services industry since 1996 running his own financial planning firm for the past eleven years - McInerney Barratt Financial Solutions. In the role of Chairman, Mark has expressed a strong commitment towards the Loft Group, believing that the chairman’s primary role is to ensure that the board is effective in its tasks of setting and implementing the company vision and strategy.

Mark has a Bachelor of Education and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services. As a member of the Financial Planning Association, Mark provides financial advice across a broad range of market sectors specialising in aged care services. During his career, Mark has worked in both Sydney and Adelaide for various corporate financial planning firms such as MLC, BankSA and Asgard.

As Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Gavin has successfully completed capital raising initiatives within Australia via a small scale share offer, along with the formation and recruitment of the Company Board of Directors. Gavin's determination, passion and leadership towards achieving his vision for the company has resulted in high level appointments within the company. Loft is now poised to commercialise its suite of products and services across diverse markets both nationally and internationally. Gavin continues to direct the company strategy, source opportunities to raise venture capital and expand operations globally whilst adding value to shareholders and investors. 

The company strategy is clearly focused on building a strong foundation within Australia, while developing opportunities with international public and private top tier companies for the delivery of proprietary software solutions and consulting services on a global scale.

During his professional career, Gavin has been an Executive Director for over 18 years, focusing on sound business principles and innovative thinking; he has an innate ability to deliver practical solutions that accomplish key objectives efficiently and effectively across multiple mediums. Providing comprehensive project management for numerous private and public companies in fostering their brand personality, business activities and market share.

Gavin is a highly motivated and determined individual. As an elite athlete, he gained selection in the Australian Rowing Team (1988-1991), where he competed at World Rowing Championships in the Australian Mens Lightweight 4-. After a successful athletic career, Gavin transitioned into the role of a professional rowing coach. Gaining a reputation for his commitment and determination that delivered exceptional medal results across National and International competition.

Michael provides excess of 15 years’ experience across start-up and small to medium business enterprises. Experience in various capacities including CFO, Finance Director, COO and Company Secretary in emerging private global technology entities. Michael has extensive knowledge in the practices of corporate governance and responsible fiscal management. Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and management of global financial budgets, company financial administrative functions, as well as holding a broad commercial management role across numerous facets of the business including insurance, HR, banking and legal. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business and a Certificate in Corporate Governance.

Financial: 

  • End-to-end preparation of financial reports including P&L, budget, cash flow, and balance sheet 
  • Develop and implement global policies and procedures 
  • Research and implement global banking solutions 
  • Authorise payments and manage contracts and deliverables 
  • Design, source and implement accounting software solutions 
  • Responsible for global audit processes 

Secretariat: 

  • Manage the secretary function including taking and preparing all Board minutes, shareholder investment documentation, ASIC registers, and the administration of the Company’s Executive Share Plan 
  • Develop and prepare required due diligence material and information to prospective investors 
  • Incorporation and implementation of off-shore / subsidiary entities 

Strategic: 

  • Develop and prepare budgets for businesses operating across multiple geographies 
  • Develop long-term plans and financial models to improve profit planning and budgeting 
  • Define and implement accounting standards and month-end reporting processes, budgetary policies and practices 
  • Engage and work with consulting firms in respect to transfer pricing, IP structure, and effective tax and corporate structuring (as and when required) 
  • Proactive management of opportunities to maximise rebates and government funding

  • Biotechnology sector guidance and advice to AusIndustry (Australian Government, Department of Industry)
  • Market development for world’s largest integrated preclinical contract research organisation, Aptuit LLC
  • Advisor to Raleru Limited (Camera House), Electronic Arts Inc., and Australia’s largest online bookseller - TheNile.com.au

Chairman for 6 years and CEO for 5 years at listed biotech Agenix Limited (ASX: AGX) where he led drug and diagnostic development projects in China and the United States, raised multiple rounds of capital, and facilitated the successful sale of a preclinical drug candidate developed by the company’s China WFOE to a Chinese pharmaceutical company. Nick is also a Panelist for the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center in Geneva, Principal of law firm Nicholas Weston and was founding Chairman of the Karma Currency Foundation. He has degrees in law and economics.

Mr Weston is a dual qualified lawyer and registered trade marks attorney, a Panelist for the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center in Geneva, and was founding Chairman of the Karma Currency Foundation. The Loft Group engaged Niall Wells as Corporate Advisor, in order to realise the opportunities available to the company for executing merger & acquisition, capital raising and private equity funding in-line with the company growth strategy. Niall has a broad range of experience in the operations, strategy and financial management of technology, manufacturing and mining companies from early stage start-ups through to larger publically listed entities.

In 2012, Niall co-founded Planwise, a financial technology company, focused on enabling consumers to score financial choices and assist the decision process. The company can power any forward looking financial decision for consumers and is currently focussed on real estate in the United States. Planwise was in the 2013 REach™ accelerator program operated by the National Association of Realtors venture arm Second Century Ventures. REach™ focuses on connecting technology companies with business opportunities in real estate and other verticals. Upon completion of the REach™ program SCV made a strategic investment in Planwise.

Niall also sits on the board of advisors for Kid Mob, a not-for-profit organisation that believes education is an opportunity for creative engagement and community empowerment.
